International Green Week Berlin, one of the world's biggest fair for food, agriculture and horticulture takes place in Berlin, Germany from 20.01 to 29.01.12 at Messe Berlin. In 2012 International Green Week Berlin brought together more than 1,500 exhibitors from around the world and organizers expect the fair will visit around two million people.
At the invitation of The German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, the guests of "Green Week" were Snezana Repac, Director of the Vojvodina Development Fund and Branislav Bugarski, the Director of the Vojvodina Investment Promotion – VIP.
At the conference on the possibilities of cooperation between the countries of Southeast Europe and Germany in the sector of agriculture, Vojvodina has received a special place and excellent ratings.
Because of its potentials “Vojvodina is the garden paradise of Europe” said at the conference Rudolf Bühler, director of the German "Ecoland," which opened in Vojvodian village Telecka daughter company "Ecoland Serbian" for the production of organic products. Because of good experiences in this region, the company wants to expand its production, Bühler explained.
He gave special attention to the extraordinary characteristics of the land, which according to him is a great potential for food production, and small manufacturers who can make a decent wage.
One of the panelists was a representative of German company KWS SAAT AG, Hoecke Claus (Klaus Hawke) who also pointed out the great potential in agriculture of Vojvodina. He spoke favorably of the results achieved in Vojvodina, about cooperation with the University of Novi Sad and excellent climatic conditions of Vojvodina for the seed production.
As a representative of Serbia on the panel, CEO of VIP Branislav Bugarski presented the experience of companies in the sector of agriculture that are already operating in Vojvodina, as well as the benefits which Serbia and Province of Vojvodina offers, especially in agriculture.
