Abu Dhabi Mubadala and Telekom Serbia will jointly explore data center opportunities
Serbia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic spoke yesterday with Director General of Mubadala Sheikh Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak as well as with members of the delegation of the company. The First Deputy Prime Minister stressed that cooperation with the United Arab Emirates is very important for our country.
Chief Operating Officer of Mubadala Mokarab Al Waleed Al Muhairi said that the company will intensify cooperation with Serbianinstitutions.
He said that the signed documents will help identify investment opportunities, adding that the company stays faithful to support the development of diverse, globally integrated and innovative economy in Abu Dhabi, but also wants to expand into promising markets such as Serbia.
After meeting in the Serbian government, four key memoranda of understanding with the Serbian government institutions were signed on the research of commercial opportunities, the signing of which was attended by Vucic and Al Mubarak .
The main objectives of these agreements are investment and development opportunities in Serbia in a number of areas in which Mubadala already operates.
Mubadala ATIC and the Republic of Serbia will explore the feasibility of a research and development centre in Serbia in the semiconductor industry.
The company Masdar and the Ministry of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection will identify investment opportunities in the Serbian technology Focus programme for renewable energy.
The company Mubadala ( Khazna) and Telekom Serbia will jointly explore opportunities for the development of data centres in Serbia.
The company Strata and the Republic of Serbia will explore opportunities for joint development of aircraft structures – in connection with production facilities in Serbia , according to a statement from the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister.
