“Đukanović recommended Serbia to UAE”

Serbian Deputy PM Aleksandar Vučić has said that “a period of good relations is ahead for Belgrade and Podgorica.”

According to him, this will come “after Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Đukanović advised the United Arab Emirates (UEA) to invest in Serbia.”

Vučić said that Đukanović will be on an official visit to Belgrade on December 9, “after a decade-long break,” and the talks he will have with Serbian officials will focus on payment system issues and overhaul of the Belgrade-Bar railway and other infrastructure projects.

“We were very pleased when Đukanović said a few nice words about Serbia in his talks with UAE officials. He was decent enough to advise them to invest in Serbia’s defense industry,” Vučić told Montenegro’s state broadcaster RTCG.

He noted that Montenegro and Serbia were “ready to work together in a number of projects” and expressed his confidence that Prime Minister Đukanović “will round off his visit to Belgrade with specific results and agreements.”
